AEA Ribbon Mics NUVO N22 Near-Field Phantom-Powered Ribbon Microphone Kit with Stand and Cable
AEA Ribbon Mics NUVO N22 Near-Field Phantom-Powered Ribbon Microphone Kit with Stand and Cable
This Kit includes the AEA NUVO N22 Near-Field Phantom-Powered Ribbon Microphone along with an adjustable tripod stand and a black 25' Mogami Gold XLR cable, so you can plug-in, power up the mic, and start recording instruments and vocals with the classic sound of a ribbon element. The phantom-powered custom transformer and JFET electronics provide +12 dB of output gain, allowing the NUVO N22 to work with a wider range of preamps than traditional passive ribbon mics.
Offering the robust sound of a traditional side-address large-ribbon mic in a compact and lightweight form factor designed for near-field use, the AEA Ribbon Mics NUVO N22 active ribbon microphone is ideal for up-close capture of anything from vocals and nuanced acoustic instruments to loud amps and pounding drums, in the studio or on the stage. The inclusion of a custom transformer helps the NUVO N22 achieve a strong output level while retaining low-noise performance.
As a near-field ribbon, the NUVO N22 provides reduced proximity effect and balanced tonality to make it ideal for placement from 1 to 18" away from the source. Its figure-8 polar pattern exhibits the classic pickup traits and side-rejection qualities associated with ribbon mics. A standard XLR 3-pin male connector is on the mic for hookup to virtually any microphone preamp; 48V phantom power is required to power the mic's active electronics.
The extra output is a major advantage when recording quiet sources like vocals and soft acoustic guitars. The active circuitry also prevents noise and interference on long cable runs and when operating near large lighting rigs.
From outdoor gigs at music festivals to indoor theaters, NUVO mics are the perfect companion to bring the sound of studio recordings to the live stage. With the optional NUVO windscreen, never worry about the ribbon, even at windy gigs.
- Extended top end with a ribbon?s classic warmth
- Near-field ribbon mic with reduced proximity effect
- Balanced frequency response at 1 to 18" from the source
- Compact, lightweight design with rugged durability
- Active electronics and custom transformer optimized for all preamps
- Made in the USA
The black 210/9 Tripod Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom from K&M is a height adjustable stand with a 17.1 to 29.3" telescoping boom arm. The microphone stand offers sturdy support for live sound, theater, rehearsal, and recording applications. It features a clutch to allow you to raise the stand height from 35.4 to 63.2" and a 5/8" thread for mounting microphones (available separately).
The black, 25' Mogami Gold Studio XLR Female to XLR Male Microphone Cable is a high-quality, 4-conductor cable engineered for maximum rejection of RFI and EMI, accurate signal transmission with low noise, and durability. It uses the company's Neglex twisted, double-conductor quad cable with a spiral, bare copper shield, which is effective in maintaining signal integrity, even when used with unbalanced equipment, in professional or home studios suffering from wiring and grounding problems.
The cable is terminated with black-body, gold-plated XLR connectors, and features a 0.236" diameter jacket, ideal for applications where a small-diameter quad mic cable is required.
