Venus Optics Laowa 7.5mm f/2 Auto Aperture Overview
Now featuring automatic aperture control, this version of the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is a super-wide lens for Micro Four Thirds Cameras. Designed with a CPU chip and motor, this lens allows the adjustment of aperture via the camera body. The focus magnifier can also be triggered for easier focusing when rotating the focus ring. The metadata will be stored on EXIF as well. No aperture ring makes the lens a bit smaller in size, and this ultralight lens is well-suited for use with drones and gimbals. The wide focal length and bright f/2 maximum aperture are also ideal for landscape and astrophotography applications, and its optical design incorporates two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to control distortion and aberrations for improved clarity and sharpness. Additionally, the lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close 4.7" away.

Excellent wide angle lens for Micro Four Thirds
I really love this wide angle lens with my GH5. I believe it is the widest rectilinear lens available for micro four third cameras, and as such, It enables me to achieve video I could not get otherwise. It is a speciality lens and one must be careful when using it not to get curved edges, but for establishing shots, opening introduction shots it is wonderful. I rented the Panasonic 8 -18 zoom for comparison and on the wide end I found the Laowa superior. Sharper, better contrast, much lighter and less expensive. I have the auto aperture version which adds a little more convenience in operation, but the manual lens works very well also. I am very pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.
