Product Overview

RNBD451PE-I100 is a RNBD451 module with PCB antenna. The RNBD451 module is based on Microchip�s PIC32CX-BZ2 Bluetooth® Low Energy System-on-Chip (SoC) that provides a complete solution to implement Bluetooth 5.2 low energy connectivity. This module is interfaced via a two-wire or four-wire (Flow Control) UART interface with Microchip�s simple ASCII command set for easy integration into most of the applications. The host microcontroller can dynamically configure the RNBD451 module with a few simple ASCII commands. The RNBD451 module, combined with Microchip�s Bluetooth Low Energy silicon with necessary GPIO and an on-board PCB antenna, creates an easy-to-use drop-in solution.

  • FCC, ISED, CE, UKCA, SRRC, KCC, MIC, NCC regulatory certification
  • Fully RF-certified Bluetooth low energy module, compact form factor, beacon support
  • On-board Bluetooth 5.2 low energy stack, ASCII command interface over UART
  • Host Controller Interface (HCI) mode, integrated 16MHz POSC, supports UART
  • ASCII commands are Backward compatible with RN487x family of modules
  • Built-in microchip transparent profile for UART data streaming, secured connection
  • OTA remote configuration, embedded enhanced security, extended advertising
  • 2M uncoded PHY and long range (Coded PHY) and UART-based DFU
  • Data length extensions and secure connections, DTM test mode, supports PTA control
  • Remote command mode in multi-link connection
